Mom hunted down these craft books for me. I decided to start with a monkey.
Label your template and cut out pieces.
After you've cut your patterns, line everything up. The visual helps avoid confusion later.
I first sewed the head. Before stuffing with rice and sewing shut, I did some quick embroidery stitching to make a face. I chose to let my stitches show because I like the look with this piece, but they could easily be hidden with a blind stitch.
After sewing the tail pieces together, I attached it to the back of the body, before stuffing and stitching the front body in place.
Finally, I matched the front piece with the back, stuffed with rice and sewed the head on top.
That's real blush! NARS, in fact. Only the best for Mr. Monkey!
Final glowing monkey.
