Iowa City has around 30 plaques embedded in their downtown sidewalks. These plaques honor writers who lived in Iowa City or attended the Iowa Writer's Workshop. I was really excited to see Jane Smiley!
After a couple snap shots of plaques, I came up with a theme.
One street in downtown Iowa City. Cyclists and pedestrians dominate the streets that often made of brick instead of cement, which added to the city's charm.
This sign post in Iowa City made me smile. I hadn't seen posts plastered with upcoming concert posters since living in Oregon. Until this moment, I hadn't remembered missing these in years.
