Two at the watering hole - when we came down we spooked about 6-7. Waiting around and these two came back.

Some of our tour accused of various crimes in Court. They were given parts to read and the mountie was in character.
Artillery at Ft Walsh. I heard it go off on my walk over from the campsite, but the guy didn't want to haul it outside again so we didnt get to see it.
Barracks - beds are planks with a buffalo skin. Not much padding!

Metis cart - the rawhide wrapping prolonged the wheels, it lasted a whole 35 miles. No grease was applied to the axel etc so you could hear them squealing a mile away.

One for mom - finally got a picture of one of the many Meadowlarks all over southern AB. This was one of the few in Cypress hills.

I must be on the right way - theres an inookshook! Interlakes campground in Kananaskis country. I headed back shortly after this to shelter from an on coming thunderstorm.
The next day was wet and cold. Just ask Meg. We spent most of it in the back of the truck sleeping and reading.
It got sunny when we decided to leave. The mountains behind our campsite, view from the upper lake.
