Health Week Celebrations, 8 April 2010

Health Week was observed 4 to 11 April 2010, in Grenada, to coincide with World Health Day, 7 April. The theme of health Week was, 'Working Towards A Healthier Grenada Through Community Participation and Empowerment.' A series of activities were implemented in observance of the week. One of the major activities was an exhibition of products and services which promoted healthy lifestyles, held 8 April 2010. The photos in this album show activities held on that day.

Sixth Annual Meeting of the Grenada Drug Information Network (GRENDIN), 4 December 2009

The Grenada Drug Information Network (GRENDIN) is the National Observatory on Drugs in Grenada. It is the mechanism through which Grenada coordinates the collection and dissemination of drug-related statistical information and other relevant information from all institutions involved in the area of drug control, or related matters. It is also a mechanism to inform policy makers and the general public. GRENDIN is comprised of institutions which work directly or indirectly in the area of drug control. Since its establishment by Cabinet in December 2002, GRENDIN has significantly strengthened Grenada’s ability to participate in local, regional and international drug control projects and programmes. It has also played a major role in the implementation of the national drug control programme.

Drug Demand Reduction Activities

The National Council On Drug Control (NCODC) was established by the Drug Abuse (Prevention and Control) (Amendment) Act, January 2002. It is the central Government institution to assess, monitor, implement and evaluate all national drug control programmes.
