Wild horses abound on Easter Island, it was a bit surprising at first but we got used to it.

Hanga Roa town park, we met Roberto at the airport the day we left, his girlfriends uncle lives in Leominster, MA. Not a big deal except that is where Andy grew up. It is a very small world we live in.
Ahu Akivi, restored Moai by William Malloy in 1960. The faces really are all different.
Ahu Akivi, The Rapa Nui people helped Malloy reconstruct and stand these Moai's they weigh in at between 7-70 tons each.
You can see the sockets for there eyes where the coral was. The sockets didn't get carved until after the Moai were on the platforms

This was my favorite place on the island, I wanted to examine each Moai-I felt they all had a story to tell
