Side and ceiling of finished room including ceiling acoustic panel from Cascade audio painted to match ceiling.
92" DaLite screen with Triad Bronze in-walls and two subs. Acoustic panels on front wall painted to match black wall. Flat black turned out to be a great color for projector image quality and light reflection
Wall and ceiling shape to accommodate HVAC, Lighting and control room reflections
Emotiva 7 ch power amp, Denon AVR3808 networked receiver, Velodyne SMS-1 subwoofer processor, Rocktron Chameleon guitar processor, Toshiba HDXA2 HDDVD & DVD playback, Samsung BDP25000 blu-ray, Sony PS3, guitar tuner, Tivo HD, Furman condition/lights, and UPS. 2 Velodyne subs, Triad Bronze in-wall and on-wall speakers, Monoprice cables and a Mitsubishi 1080p projector. Everything runs on a UPS and surge/filter protection. Not in the photo's is the Wii and buttkicker.
started with a bare basement and built the room. All framing and drywall was nailed, screwed and used liquid nails and silicon for a tight room to avoid ANY rattles.
I used Soundblok one pound per square foot mass loaded vinyl material to "enclose" the room before drywall and plaster coated the entire room.
used several room calculators to determine a good room size with uneven room dimensions to help deal with peaks and nulls. Also did some simple templates to plan for screen size, placement, projector placement, seating, platform size and location etc. Just a simple cardboard cutout can work great. Also note some of the variations in room shape to help deal with reflections etc.
All the theater gear is connected and distributed back to every room in the house over component. This is terrific for whole house Tivo as well as audio via the networked Denon AVR. Remote control is RF and using Universal Remotes. My goal in life is to slowly get a tv in every room (master bath included to bride the finance committee).
Lots of insulation.
