Creede, CO

Mike and I spent Labor Day weekend enjoying Salsa Fiesta days in Creede, CO where we escaped the afternoon rain by taking in Neil Simon's hysterical play, Fools before returning to our campsite just a few miles south of town. We will have to return for pictures of Creede's classic Wild West Miner's Town main street. Due to the drizzly, overcast weather most of the pictures are from around camp. A few are from the 4x4 road we inadvertantly took my Subaru on thinking we were on famous Bachelor Loop.

The Burr Trail to Boulder, UT

Mike and I recently attended a wedding in the scenic Boulder, UT. Getting there was half the fun. The dirt roads began shortly after we detoured onto Notom road to pick up the Burr Trail through Capital Reef National Park and the Grand-Staircase Escalante National Monument.

Labyrinth Canyon

This summer my parents joined up with myself, my husband, his parents and sister to enjoy a float-trip down the Green River through Labrynith Canyon. We put in at Ruby Ranch and took at out Mineral Bottom. For further insight into my feelings about the Mineral Bottom road, you can check out my blog at mountaink.wordpress.com . What was supposed to be a 3 day trip turned into 2 due to the untolerable presence of mosquitoes on shore. While on the river however, life was bliss. Many thanks to my mom and sister-in-law for their pictures. My mom is responsible for the pictures from rigging the rafts at put-in until the pictures of Mineral Bottom road, which were taken by my sister-in-law.

Bucket and Dillon

I'm a bit uncontrollable with the camera when it comes to the pets. In fact, I have no self-restraint. However, in selecting what pictures of our cat, Dr. Fuzzbucket the I (known mostly as Bucket), and our dog, Dillon, I tried to pick my favorites. Bucket tends to pose or sleep. Dillon is just a goof.Together, they are hours of entertainment. I don't know what Mike and I would talk about if they weren't around. Enjoy!
