Headed south from Uriarra Homestead, along Warks Rd, climbed west into the Brindies for some freezing Arctic weather - and mud. A 30k climb, followed by a 25 k descent. A big day out.

20081214 Canberra Half Ironman

Camberra Half Ironman produces mixed results for Vikings - one DNS, one DNF, congrats Neil and Tony who both completed on a windy, unpleasant day. Well done to the volunteers at the Museum aid station - competitors really do appreciate a friendly smile and a word of encouragement.

First CPS race of the season, cold front came through along with the rain. Nice if you're a duck or a farmer, not so great if you're a triathlete. First race for our novice group who came through with flying colours (at least 23/25 did) - congrats Donna and Sarina for a great program, congrats also to the various coaches and occasional helpers

Helter Skelter 2008 Offroad Duathlon

The first Helter Skelter offroad duathlon at Stromlo Forest Park Canberra on 17 August 2008. 75 competitors started out on a three stage offroad adventure (10k run/40k ride/10k run) on a perfect winter's day.

A classic Canberra day, with ideal racing conditions for the ACT Classic championships - the last triathlon of the TACT series for 07/08. A big turnout of around 400 competitors, lots of Vikings going hard for the last hit out this summer.

080224 Tour d' Huski Australian Sprint and Long Course championships

Vikings Tour d' Huski 08 - Vikings Tri Club head to the coast for a weekend of triathlon action. Saturday - Australian Sprint Champs and Sunday - Long Course Champs. Hopefully this will be the start of a long tradition - lots of people stepping up to the next level of endurance events, everyone had a great time. What a great weekend away.
