We took a walking tour in Berlin. This is our tour guide Jim, from Minneapolis, MN. Too bad you can't hear his accent.
Berlin is beautiful.
Apparently if the horse has one leg raised, the rider was injured in battle. If the horse is rearing or has more than one leg raised, the rider died in battle.
The Brandenburg Gate itself.
A memorial to the Jews who died in the Holocaust.
The Berlin wall.
The gate to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp. Quite disturbing.
Potsdam, just outside of Berlin. It's a palace with beautiful grounds and we just loved it.
Fussen, you are cute.
Castles!
This is the castle Disney based his Cinderella castle on.
Don't we look like real Germans?
So this castle was built by 'Mad' King Ludwig, who built castles as hobbies. We never really got to live in it though. He was accused of being insane, taken away, and then turned up dead in a lake two days later. Weird.
Janie and her lovely looking ticket to tour the castle.
Jenny trying to sleep.
Janie sleeping on the train.
Jenny is not very happy about all these pictures. =)
Just like a fairytale.
