These first 4 photos depict the functioning Niles as I first saw it, at Balgen Machine, in West Stockbridge, MA, in the late 1980s
The next 13 photos show the Niles being scrapped out. By the time I got to it many of the shafts and giant bolts had been cut up.
This is a 5 speed truck transmission out of a circa 1958 International Load Star. I found out much later that it was totally worn out and had to be replaced by an identical transmission that I finally found in Ashley Falls, MA.
The next series of photos show the two truck loads of parts being off loaded by Davenport's crane
