"May 18, 2013 - Ken Lallo caught his biggest striped bass ever today. It was 37" long and weighed in at 19lb-11oz. Ken reported that he caught it about two hours into the outgoing tide on a bunker head. Ken said he was fishing the mid-island surf."

"May 18, 2013 - Tom Nitting from Stafford caught this 14lb 5oz bass off of the north end surf this morning on bunker. Tom stopped in the other day with a nice bass. He said when sharpening his knife a little slip sent him to the ER for a number of stitches. But that didn't stop him. He was in the shop the next day digging in the bunker cooler with a taped up hand with a latex glove ready for battle on the beach. Tom reported, " I had blues, skates and sharks as well as this keeper.""

Another angler who was fishing on the boat reported an amazing bunker pod crashing whale spectacular. He said the fishing was good and the whale show was even better."
