Madame Janet watering her garden (featuring Apoorva's seeds) with her makeshift watering can (a sieve - genius!).
Madame Janet giving Mel some tips.
Step 1: Dip stamp in the boiling wax and shake off excess wax... without burning yourself!
Step 2: Stamp blank polyester material in desired pattern. If you want your stamp to be coloured, you must dye the material in that colour before stamping.
(The shirt I'm wearing is made of batik material done by Madame Janet herself!)
Step 3: Dye the material with colour of choice.
Step 4: Leave the dyed material to dry in the sun.
Step 5: Dip the material in boiling water to rinse off the wax.
Step 6: Collect the wax washed off of the dyed material.
Step 7: Boil the water out of the used wax and save for reuse in the next batik session.
A finished product!
