Start with a 30 cm square card (stiff card like Bristol Board)
Draw diagonals on card.
The diagonals intersect at teh center of the card.
Draw a 3.5 cm radius circle in center of card.
Draw a 2 cm radius arc centered on the corner of the card. Only to the left of the line. See next image.

draw a line across the center of each arc.
Use a punch to make a hole at each center mark.
Make a hole in the center. (use a nail, drill etc)
Cut along each diagonal stopping at the circle. STOP at the circle!
Gently curl the corners with the holes to the center.
Push a 3“ x 3/16” bolt through one of the outer holes.
Put the bolt through all of the center holes.
Push the bolt through the center hole.
Bolt through all holes.
Put a washer and then a nut on the bolt - tighten the nut.
Cut two lengths of plastic tube 1.7 cm and 1.2 cm. Tube should fit over 3/16 “ bolt.
Add a washer to the bolt and then the 1.7cm plastic tube and then another washer.
Build a stand with a vertical (26cm) post. Drill a 13/64“ hole near the top of the post. Many ways to build this.
Push the bolt through the hole in the top of the post. The windmill should turn freely.
This is another style of post.
Push the bolt through the hole in the to of the vertical post with a washer.
Thread a nut onto the bolt. Do not tighten, the bolt must turn freely.
Add a large washer and the 1.2 cm plastic tube. This creates a pulley to wind rope onto.
Add a large washer and a nut and tighten the two nuts against the plastic tube.
String attached to small load.
