In Luna, this “lola” told us, “ayaw ko magpapicture kasi pangit ako” (I don’t like to take a picture because I’m ugly). Eventually she agreed and the shot turned out to be very “maganda” (beautiful).
A Filipino lady is washing some “bangus” (milk fish). It represents how hard the women work to feed their family.
At the market these two women sitting next to each other are selling “sitaw” (string beans), it shows how everyone in the Philippines is friendly to each other.
A “lola” (grand-mother) holding her “apo” (grand-son) with care demonstrates the love she has for him which can be found everywhere in the Philippines.
