2009/03/29-Sunken Church at Tsybli
The idea to take a trip to Tsybli -- a village to the south of Pereyaslav-Khmel'nyts'kyi -- came to mind some time ago after recalling a somewhat unusual stories about sunken church somewhere near Rzhyshchiv. Why Tsybli than? Because a clear cross mark near this place on the map we use to keep in the car. Arriving at the place i've got a serious doubts that what we saw was actually the church i use to see in the Net before. Coming back online I was amazed to realized that there are actually 2 sunken churches in close proximity to each other on the area of Kaniv reservoir. The one i've meant to visit -- a Gousyn church -- was actually a way nearer to Kyiv, *before* Pereyaslav-Khmel'nyts'kyi.. So this one we've found, is yet another one.
