these guys are set up in a little square, and sell the trims to put onto your salwar suits or saris
this is one of the stores that rachna took us to that sells the most incredible stuff! the guy is super-friendly too, and there's no haggling involved!
this is the only photo i took of rachna's place. her apartment is really beautiful and full of gorgeous teak (sp?) furniture, but there was this GIANT flying cockroach, which i had heard all about from dan, so i absolutely had to take a photo of it...
this is in the gas-affected community where anisha and casey are doing their study. this woman got a huge kick out of the digital camera....notice the sewing machines mom! they're all foot treadles like your old singer!
i love the school uniforms they make all the kids wear... (other than the fact that the cost of the uniforms and supplies are a huge hinderance in sending girls especially to school)
