Arriving at Split Creek on a beautiful autumn day to celebrate Mikaelmas, the Feast Day of Archangel Mikael.
Rene lighting a campfire for our circle ceremony.
Tending to the fire is a piece of cake for Rene.
Elaya watches Rene, and discusses how the circle will proceed.
Preparations continue as Blue Mountain Dove finds her place in the circle. She is sitting in the same location as she was during the Gate of Grace at the Eden Event, Summer Solstice, 2008.
Rene gathered many branches and twigs to keep the fire going. Larger pieces of wood were scarce in the area, as they were used up by summer visitors. Dove watches from a distance.
Nance totes her sacred objects to the circle.
Elaya sets up her ceremonial altar.
Nance watches as Archangel Mikael's image sits in the foreground.
Dove enjoying a cup of tea while she waits for the ceremony to begin.
Elaya sharing what is planned for the ceremony, including the link up with the group hiking to the Temple Centre.
Final preparations before connecting with the group at the Temple Centre at 2pm, and beginning the ceremony and meditation honouring Archangel Mikael on His feast day.
As we performed our ceremony, the great "apus" surrounded us with their majesty.
Looking down the Blaeberry River from the Split Creek area.
Following our ceremony, we walked down to the river, where our favourite 'very rustic' bench awaited us.
Sitting on the bench is a jug of red wine left over from the Last Baptism performed during the Eden Event. Nance brought it along to celebrate the Archangel's Feast Day.
Rene, Dove and Nance enjoyed good conversation by the river. Glorious fall colours surrounded them.
Another view of the same scene.
It was very peaceful up the Blaeberry Valley that day, and we all enjoyed communing with Nature.
A closer view of the mountains from Split Creek.
This photo is enhanced to bring out the depth of colour that we actually enjoyed that day.

Our last photo was capture on our drive back to Golden. We hope you enjoyed journeying with us to Split Creek. ***Make sure to view the Temple Centre Album. Bernie Cook, along with Andrew Hewitt and his group, beautifully recorded their journey to the Temple Centre. Some amazing and incredible photos were taken. The views are fabulous ... a real treat!
