LMS' first tournament saw rain, great food, lots of wind and a dominant Rebel team. We played well in parts but couldn't bring or best game to the final. 2nd place for 3 years in a row - not ideal!

Siege of Limerick 2010

The excellent tournament from Limericks UIL Ninjas took place in mid-February. Cultimate (of US fame) helped to run it and the standard was great with 4 teams all batlling for a place in the final. In the end we lost by 4 to a decent Ragnarok side. Broc 2 finished 11 after running out of legs in the big games. A great weekend!

The annual All-Ireland Schools Championships took place last weekend and St.Marsy stromed to a fine victory, conceding very few points ont he way to a Trophy and Spirit double. Well done to Cathal Tuffy too - winner of the Tom Kendall Medal.

All-Ireland Open Championships 2009

A well organised and weather-blessed tournament in Santry saw 6 teams compete in the inaugral All-Ireland Open Chamiponships. Johnny Chimpo won the final 15-13 against Broccoli. Peter Sandin (Skogs) won the Simon Cocking (MVP of the Final) Award and Jabba the Huck won the Spirit prize. Big thanks to Darron for helping with the Broccoli pics.

Visits in Jimma

Photos from the three visits we made during our stay in Jimma- to a primary school, a community centre for street children and to the incredible Missionaries of Charity where nuns run a school, medical centre, rehabilitation centre and manage to teach tapestry, sewing, cookery amongst other skills. We gave toys, clothes and small donations to each.

Ethiopia - At the hospital

From December 3rd to December 13th I spent a week and a half working with Operation Smile in Jimma, a city south of Addis Ababa in Ethiopia. Op Smile is a charity that brings surgeons, doctors, nurses and others from around the globe to work on children with facial deformities, primarily cleft lips and palates. It was an inspiring and difficult week. I'd do it again at the drop of a hat... The photos in this album are of the the time we spent at the hospital - from screening to the final day...
