"This piece is two sided. Programs can be changed by sliding a new program card into any of four retrcactible locations. The new pattern is achieved by tilting the system of sling rods forward. Only the rods that are free to pass through the program card will do so. The result is two opposite images, front and back, of those rods that protrude and those that were pre-selected to be blocked. This sculpture is a mechanical color computer made before they were invented."
