Brockton ABE/ESOL Coordinator Ruth O'Brien-Denly adopted Gypsy from Stoughton Animal Control in June. Ruth says, Gypsy, a Belgian Shepherd and Border Collie mix "has an enormous amount of energy and keeps me hopping."

Vice President Education Tom O’Connor’s dog Sophie is an 11-month-old Catahoula leopard dog and American bulldog mix. With merle markings, she has one "clear eye" and one "cracked eye,” which is a mixture of colors. “She is very lovable with family but is afraid of new people who come to the house. Of course she hides her fear with a lot of growling and barking,” says Tom.

YouthBuild Counselor/Case Manager Rhonda Callahan's 6-year-old bloodhound Bleu is a registered, licensed and insured group therapy dog.
Allowed in hospitals, court houses, schools and libraries, Bleu works mostly in schools. Rhonda says the only problem is she like to steal food because of her bloodhound nose.
Bleu loves the students at YouthBuild and they love her.
