According to project coordinator Melanie Calahan, it "was also a chance to show our appreciation for the vendors who are part of the reason our business is so successful. We started with a nine-hole golf tournament Thursday morning. A trip to Gates of the Mountains Thursday afternoon satisfied everyone's burning curiosity about the Mann Gulch Fire. And natural land bridges. A pitchfork barbecue was served at the store Thursday evening as around 130 vendors, Vann's employees and other business partners mingled around the store enjoying the classy atmosphere. Friday morning, a crew of vendors and Vann's employees headed out to fly fish on the Missouri River for the day."
