Arguably the worst part of the road for large vehicles lies between Rosita and Siuna. The road just gets muddy and rutted out.
But we didn't think this bus tipped primarly because of the road condtions.

The heaviest part of the bus (the lower half) is pulled off the ground by he weight on the roof. Thankfully nobody was seriously injured.
We could get past in the pickup truck, but larger vehicles had to wait until the road was cleared. When we drove through, there was still no plan.
Sometimes you have to make the decision to utilize the high or low road...
of couse choosing the wrong one could land you here!
oh, and not all busses tip over
some jokes take on new significance in this road.

the runway in siuna doubles as a sidewalk when it's not being used for airplanes.

bathrooms are clean
they had to cram in the mattresses to have room for everyone.
