Hello traveling friends. We arrived home day before yesterday, but I won't have time for a while to upload my pictures to Web Albums. I would just like to share these few with at the moment.
Les loved to wear his "Croc" sandals everywhere. When we were boating through the Kerala Backwaters a group of locals was farming a rice field and fishing for Marron and small fish. Of course, Les and Alex had to get a closer look. Alex was OK, but Les sank to his undercarriage and lost his Crocs in the mud. After a lot of fishing around, and help of one of the locals they found both shoes; the locals thought this was great entertainment.
The story doesn't end there though. Les wore them daily throughout India for the next three weeks, it was then time to fly home. The problem was that the Australian Customs officer at the quarantine inspection decided that the soles had picked up too much organic material; prickles mainly. After all they'd been through, Les had to give up his beloved Crocs.
