Aiden loves sitting down for a story!
Visit to a nearby farm to see the animals and get our first pumpkin of the season!
He kept pointing - or maybe trying to reach out to them, which Daddy wouldn't allow, of course! ;)
He was saying "baa baa" for the sheeps and goats and "quack" for the ducks!
There were also BUNNIES!
Trying to pick out the perfect pumpkin - Aiden thought he could handle it!
No, Daddy...I got this!
Not so crazy about the scarecrow...
Trying to get the flowers!!
Loves flowers!!
Aiden at 14 months!!! Showing where his teeth are
He is SOOO cute, is he not?!
Showing where his feet are
Looking at one of his favorite books, Big Words for Little People - he looks so intense!
He says "dadadadada" really quickly and squints his eyes and makes a silly face when he does it - too funny!
Visit to MaMaw's - getting to see his great uncle Ted
Aiden kept getting all the things off the shelves - he loved this duck bookend (but kept asking us to take the duck off the stand!). He loves ducks!
We went to the park with MiMaw Susan - Aiden did not want to stop swinging!
Weeeeeee
He wanted to go really high!
Time to explore!
Must have gotten some dirt on his hands...
Clapping b/c he finally climbed on top of the rock by himself!
Yay! MiMaw got on the rock, too! ;)
Clapping!
He gave MiMaw a big hug!
Oooohhh...there are "flowers" in there!
Sniffing - trying to smell the flowers!
And there we go... (We just ignore this. Don't want to encourage it by drawing more attention to it!)
Throwing puffs to the ducks that were in the stream down the embankment
Aiden threw some of the puffs, too. Way to share! :)
Reading with PawPaw Gary
He kept struggling to get the "envelopes" in the slit in the mailbox. At first, after a few tries, he would just open the door and stick them in that way! But he finally got it!
MiMaw told him he did a "stupendous" job after he got the envelope in the slit - and he immediately went and grabbed this book for her to read. Why? Because it has the word "stupendous" in it and he made the connection!! So smart!
Getting some OJ from PawPaw - yummy!
Reading with MaMaw Sharon. He really does love books!!
We had a visitor!! Mason came to visit. Mason is just three weeks younger than Aiden - his mommy grew up with Ryan.
It was tough to get them to be close enough long enough for us to get some pictures, but we finally got it!!
Hey, man...what are you doing to my book? Haha!
Candice with Mason, Ryan with Aiden
Uh-oh! They finally went after the same toy!
Steven reading to Aiden...he would ask anyone who was around!
We had such an awful night with teething...up ALL night while staying at MaMaw's house. The baby that NEVER sleeps in slept an extra hour and a half - that should give an idea of how much we were up during the night. :( Poor guy!
We saw Pop for a little while when getting Camden. Surprise - he got to read Aiden a book! ;)
Checking out Camden's eyelashes
The material to make Aiden's bunny costume...and his Bunny to use as a guide
Ears are getting put on!
Not wanting to sit long enough for a picture!
Pappaw Gene making Aiden laugh!
Pappaw makes this "pop" noise with his finger and mouth - Aiden was trying to do it, too!
Aiden was the one who was supposed to be sleeping; not Camden!
Aiden trying to spray his nose (lid is closed, of course). Poor guy picked up a cold while on vacation
On the way back home...stopped to let the boys stretch their legs! Aiden liked pointing out all the leaves. He likes to hand them to you so you can hold them up high and let them fall back down to the ground.
They both look sleepy, don't they?
He just looks so cute standing there...
Showing Aiden the sign for leaf - he thinks they're pretty interesting
He's doing the sign for leaf here - showing Daddy what he learned! :)
Kissing on Camden
He always wants you to put the sunglasses on him...but then he takes them right off!
After trying to put them on himself...he gave up and decided to hold them in his mouth instead... Haha!
Back home! Relaxing while the rest of us unload the car...
Just hanging out...
Watching Camden play soccer! It suddenly is a lot colder here!
Action shot!
Eating some banana while going through the corn maze
Camden showing off some corn he found...
The three guys
He thought it was great to be on Daddy's shoulders (but wouldn't hold on at all)
He stayed on me for only a moment...notice he is putting his mouth on my hair...he bit my hair and pulled up hard. Ouch!! He must have thought that would be fun??
Sitting with Camden in the cow train (Daddy didn't get a picture showing the whole thing...). Camden got to ride around - Aiden was too little, but we got a quick pic (which clearly, Aiden didn't care for).
I have similar pictures with Camden sitting under a John Deere tractor (on my grandfather's farm)
Hayride time! Aiden loved it b/c there was loud music....
...and we were right next to the speakers! His favorite part!
Me with my favorite boys!
Trying for a pic with Daddy...Aiden wanted back next to the music!
Going down the slide!
Let's go again!!
We went down the BIG slide!
Hi Daddy and Aiden!
Duck racing!
If Aiden doesn't want to sit...you can't make him!!
And finally...picking out a pumpkin before we leave
Aiden was congested from his cold and had a hard time getting to sleep until he got to use mom's pillow...
He's been wanting to sleep on my pillow for the last week! I might never get it fully back...or get to use it turned the way I like it...
Aiden's first visit to the dentist! He did such a great job!!
Looking outside from the window in the exam room at the allergist - it had a great view with a huge pond that came right up to the walkway around the building and a big fountain in the center of it. Nice place.
Aiden kept himself entertained by rolling the stool around the office...
Waiting for the dr and playing with the stool
Walking around shirtless during the skin test on his back
The top is the egg, H is the histamine control, and S is the saline control - we only tested for eggs this time around to limit exposure to any potential allergens and b/c it was the one in question...this was near the beginning of the skin test, and it's already perfectly clear that he is allergic to eggs
On our way to the playground while Camden's team practices a little before the soccer tournament.
Ryan's smiling like this because...Aiden had to hold his hand while we were near the crowds. Once we were close to the playground, Ryan let go of Aiden's hand so he could go to the swings, like he wanted. But after a few steps, Aiden turned back around and went and grabbed Daddy's hand to bring him along! (He had been resisting holding hands b/c he wanted to run to the swings, so we were very surprised at him going back for Daddy's hand!)
He decided he wanted to ride on the horsey for a little bit first. He was bouncing on it to make it move.
Swing time!
Seriously...take me to the swings!
Haha! This picture cracks me up!! (And yes, it was warm enough to wear summer clothes...at the end of October! How ridiculous is that?!)
Camden is #1 in blue
Very wet...it rained after the game. The parents played the kids in a soccer game, and it was pouring by the time for the party.
Time for cake!
Pumpkin carving!!
Ryan even joined in more this year! ;)
Dig in!!!
Watching Daddy outside the door - making sure he's not going anywhere!
Visting with family after Grandma Strode's funeral
Hey MaMaw....
Actually got everyone looking at the camera at the same time! Of course, it's usually Aiden that's not looking... ;)
CUTIE!!
That's enough!!
Aiden would just kneel here and play cars - too cute
Whatchulookinat?? This was actually really funny b/c Sonia told Christian to stand by Aiden so I could get a picture. He did, and then Aiden screamed and ran off - so they ran around & around the coffee table and Christian kept pointing to me, trying to get Aiden to understand what he was doing. This is how they ended...
But he did let Christian play cars with him!
Joaquin came to visit, too!
buddies...
...or maybe not. haha! Joaqin's face cracks me up! That face looks like one his mama makes...(ahem, Patsy!) ;)
Mammaw Melly reading to the boys
The three amigos - they're going to be forced to be best friends with how much they'll be around each other once we move back home! ;)
Aiden's not in a rush, though. (Just kidding! He apparently wants his distance here, though - and Christian is just ignoring him... Haha!)
The two older boys...
Playing with the barrel of monkeys
Watching Christian (and family) leaving
Aiden thought this mask was really silly!
Tickling Aiden's legs - picture courtesy of Camden
Little bunny is hopping down the hallway!
We tried taking the juice away...he was only cooperative with it. Wasn't worth fighting over!
Camden was Snake Eyes from GI Joe
Awww...he still has a tear in his eye...
I love Aiden's face here.
Laughing about Camden
We were Mammaw & Pappaw's first trick-or-treaters...we left to go to the car but came back to surprise them (Camden's idea!) :)
We saw a rainbow on the way!!
The picture doesn't show it justice...and there are actually TWO rainbows! A lighter one is to the right of the other one - over the big tree.
Patsy and Joaquin joined us for the trunk-or-treat at my old church in Winchester. (And yes, I've already spoken to Ryan about his lack of focusing...he actually DID focus - it was just on a stop sign behind us, which I cropped out...)
Checking out the scarecrow at the Royce's set-up at Trinity's trunk-or-treat
Counting the loot! As I recall, he had 77 pieces, which is not bad considering how little we did! It was pretty cold, and Camden was ready to get inside!
Aiden slept in the car some while Camden did trick-or-treating...he had just woken up and was wide-eyed!
Oooohhh...what's this?!
Anything else in there?
He had a blast just playing with the candy in the wrapper or putting the pieces in and out of the pumpkin bag...no clue what was in the wrappers - and we're in no rush to have him find out!
picture courtesy of Camden (he needs to work on zooming out...) - this is Macy (dressed as kangaroo - she was really adorable!!), my step-brother's little girl
picture courtesy of Camden (seriously..needs to learn to zoom out - I had already reminded him earlier) - Aiden was really interested in Macy's costume, esp the baby kangaroo in the pouch. He kept trying to pull it out!
