Jim and Bob riding into New Hampshire
Sunshine, blue skies, hills and a wide shoulder all point to another wonderful day of riding.
Our last state crossing
Jim in his unmistakeable straight line riding style
Some soggy land along the way
Wild flowers decorate the New Hampshire road sides as well.
Zero comes by in good form!
Followed by Dan
And then Bob, who began to hustle to meet Susie and the kids, Kyle and Bethany at SAG2
Riding through Keene
White and the welcome sign to Keene
One of the many low traffic shaded roads today leading to a serious climb
More road through the woods.
This one is a dirt road we came bombing down. The day had so much of SE Ohio. Roads, rises, surfaces, shaded -- all makes me appreciate our great riding variety in OH.
Fast falling water through the woods by the road
THe day is getting warmer and more humid as Zero sheds the jersey. All the climbing really heats you up.
This marked the top of today's longest climb -- it was several miles at 6% or so and came the closest to a mountain climb
We passed many gorgeous and inviting lakes nestled into the NH woods.
WOW! What a spread provided for us by Dan, Judy's husband who joined us at SAG2. Chicken salad in pita pockets, past salad, fruit salad and chips. Wonderful! Thanks Dan!
Judy and Dan
Howie, a past rider from '07 who joined us at SAG2 as well.
Chuck's 82 year old uncle, who had done this ride 20 years ago, and recently srvived cancer, joined Chuck to ride with him for 15 miles through his territory.
We rode down along this stream with a tailwind and very little traffic. This is as great as it gets for riding!
Manchester was only a few miles away -- what a finish!!
