IEEE Lunch Meeting with Craig Lanternier and Rick Bono 12-7-06

This was the final lunch meeting for the current semester. We listened to an excellent talk by Craig Lanternier and Rick Bono about Electrical and Control Systems from Fluor. We also voted for the next IEEE T-shirt design

We went to AMF Bowling in Cerritos. It was pretty fun for everyone no matter what skills they brought along. Sean and Oscar came out on top with scores of 145 and 189!

IEEE Lunch Speaker Antonio Prieto 11-9-06

Antonio Prieto graduated from CSULB in the fall of 2001 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering/Communication Systems. After graduation he was hired by TRW Space & Electronics which is now Northrop Grumman/Space Technology of Redondo Beach CA. He worked on satellites in the Communication Systems department and simultaneously pursued his MSEE at USC through his company's fellowship program.

IEEE Lunch Speaker Bob Klatskin 11-2-2006

Bob Klatskin is the Director of Test, Launch and Factory Support Engineering within Space & Intelligence Systems Engineering. He is accountable for all test, special test equipment, and production engineering support to satellite production, assembly, integration, and test within the Satellite Development Center and at S&IS suppliers, as well as launch services for all S&IS spacecraft. Mr. Klatskin has more than 25 years of experience in aerospace.

IEEE Southern-Area Meeting at Caltech 10-14-2006

We attended this IEEE at Caltech. This morning session covered the duties and activites of the professional IEEE members. The afternoon session was a condensed training seminar for the student branches. We took some pictures with some Cal State LA folks, who we'll hopefully be seeing again soon.
