My first sight in Spain exiting the Barcelona Airport... there were about 700 motorcycles parked here.
The village of Coma Ruga (where I was staying) - about 1 hour's drive south of Barcelona.
An evening beach stroll at Coma Ruga
Inside the Cathedral Santa Maria del Mar. It's one of the most beautiful cathedrals I've ever seen.
At the local market in Barcelona.
The narrow streets in Barcelona (Gothic section)
A feast for the eyes (and taste buds too!).
Sea of Plenty (Barcelona market).
Workdays were long while in Spain, but evenings I was able to get out and stroll the Promenade at Coma Ruga. A nice way to end the day.

Resident guests at the Barcelona Cathedral.
There were more motorcycles in Barcelona than any other western city I've seen before.
The Amfiteatre Roma in Taragona Spain... the ruins are about 2000 years old.
Enterance to the Amfiteatre Roma in Tarragona
Old Town in Tarragona Spain. This was a wonderful city to explore on foot.
A typical street in the old town section of Tarragona
A photo that was completely unanticipated as Larry (my co-worker) and I were walking down the La Rambla in Barcelona... and one of my favorites.
I'm told there are about 24,000 of these bikes in Barcelona. You can rent these and ride them everywhere (and a lot of people do!).
Oriole at feeder outside the kitchen window.
Irises after a spring storm.
The "Shocking Barack" motorcycle - signatures were collected along the way to D.C. It was hoped that the bike could be presented to the President to show that Electric Vehicles do exist today.
Empulse on it's first test ride (the bike is amazing!).
Returning to Ashland on the Empulse - my favorite photograph from this session.
Full Moon at Sunset
Our backyard at our new home! The grass behind the fence is hay, which is cut several times a year.
The Empulse charging up for the next ride.
This was the view outside our home office one morning.
Our first hay harvest... a late wet spring delayed the cutting by over a month.

Final adjustments made to the racing version of the Empulse (a.k.a Empulse RR).

Brian (chief designer of the Empulse) with his creation at the Ashland Airport.
The Empulse Electric Motorcycle. Tthis is one amazing bike to ride - so smooth, quiet and so incredibly fast! As one commentator put it "This changes everything"!
A side trip to Point Lobos just before the Leguna Seca racing event... I had to get my "ocean fix" in while at Monterey.
The official introduction of the Empulse at Laguna Seca.
Four of the most beautiful women - and all the men are looking at the bike?
I had never worked with models before, but these four (left to right - Ryan, Kelly, Jessica and Llana) were wonderful and made the work almost effortless.
Professional motorcycle racer Aaron Gobert on the Empulse RR.
One hot windy day in August, we had a wildfire next to work, and this 100 year old barn burned down. We could feel the heat from the flames at our office.
Firefighters trying to put out the flames. Eleven homes burned from this event.
Our new friend Taiko (Black Lab) learns to play with Shasta. Taiko was rescued from an Animal Shelter - and is an absolutely wonderful dog.
Summer storm view from our backyard.
The hay field just before a summer's rain.
During a motorcycle photo-shoot in downtown Ashland, I turned around and saw this tree... it really made an impression.
A photo (and video) shoot of the Enertia Plus took us to San Francisco... this was the view from my hotel room.
The Enertia Plus at the Marin Headlands... it was about 90 degrees here that day... very unusual. Normally it's foggy and windy here with temps in the 50s.
Rob ("Zen") Novey and the Brammo team. Rob had driven the Enertia all the way from Minnesota to retrace the route taken in the "Zen and the route from the Art of Motorcycle Maintainence" book, but this time on an Electric Motorcycle.
Brian test rides the new Enertia Plus. This photo is a hand-held pan shot (not using photoshopped motion blur... this is the real thing).
Yours truly sailing on Tomales Bay in California. This is a combination kayak / sailboat, and is an absolute kick to ride! (photo by Agi Wolfe)
A quiet scene near Yreka California as we returned home to Oregon.
The new Brammo Enertia colors for 2011.
The Enertia Plus color options... these bikes will become available in 2011, and will double the range of the current model.
Taiko in the garden... he's a very welcome addition to the family, and has been an absolute joy to be with.
Our new home - as viewed (looking southeast) in an early Fall day.
Cattle in the parcel next to us grazing at sunrise.
Dawn at Bolinas... the surfers were already out well before sunrise.

Dawn colors from our backyard.
Fall colors at the Upper Duck Pond in Lithia Park in Ashland.
One of my favorite photos from this year... the Japanese Garden area in Lithia Park. This was one of the best Fall colors ever!
A second scene at the Japanese Gardens in Lithia Park.
We wre visited by this tiny (baby Kestrel?) Hawk in late Fall. A few days later he took refuge under our porch during the cold rain.
One last glimpse of Fall from our porch. The mountains were already accumulating snow, and it looks to be a good season for people who love to go skiing.
Shasta and Taiko look over all this strange white stuff falling down from the sky.
