Peal Board of the first full peal on the Hendersonville bells
William "Bill" Theobald came from the Whitechapel Bell Foundry to train the new band; served the church as Verger during his stay in Hendersonville. He was loved by all and the "old-timers" speak fondly of him.

The original Meneely "chapel bell" in the old tower of St James. It was renamed William for Bill Theobald, and rehung in the tower above the 8 change ringing bells to ring the Angelus.
