Kenmare, SW Coast of Irleand. View is looking south across the valley and I was eager for the clouds to lift. A great town with friendly locals. If you poke around and listen well you may get some good insights....
Killarney N.P. ....just north of Kenmare and a gorgeous , though somewhat treacherous stretch of road -- god bless walt and sandra for the par excellence driving. This is one of 3 lakes that draws down a valley surrounded by mountains. Dad and i went for hike to part of the hydro system where it turns into a river, "the meeting of the waters" I think. I threw it out a few flies, but no luck. A worthwhile endeavor and nonetheless a spectacular day.
Ardfert Castle, County Kerry. A 12th century monastery linked to the cult of St Brendan the Navigator who is believed to have ventured as far as the east coast of North America 900 years previous to Columbus. There are graves as old as the structures and as recent as a decade. I had a strong feeling a lot went down at this place.
The Cliffs of Moher, County Clare. A natural phenomena like no other I've seen. As Sagan says, millions upon millions of years of layers deposited by water and ice and then cut away by the ocean. Supposedly, people surf this area.
