Teacher workshops #2
The second set of teacher workshops took place Nov. 23 in Paki Masabong (Mapaki) and Nov. 28 in Gbonkolenken (Makonkorie). The workshops focused on using play in the classroom and taught the teachers a number of games they could use. The games were a definite hit, and the teachers themselves enjoyed playing them during the workshop!

River No. 2
This gorgeous beach is just an hour's drive from Freetown. It is considered one of the top 5 beaches in the world. Best of all, we shared it only with some of the locals and about 8 other guests. Amazing!

Tacugama
Tacugama is just outside of Freetown and is well worth a visit. They have over 60 chimps there that they have rescued. Most of the chimps were taken as babies to be pets. This is illegal in Sierra Leone. The reserve would one day like to release the chimps they have back into the wild but there is no safe place in the country right now to release them.
