Annapolis, MD (12-8-11) As part of an annual wreath laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery that incorporates volunteer efforts from across the nation, Annapolis Mayor Joshua J. Cohen is proud to announce that Wreaths Across America will be stopping near Annapolis before traveling onto the Nations capitol.
While traveling through Anne Arundel County, the convoy will stop at the World War II Memorial, on Route 450, Friday, December 9 for a ceremony which is co-hosted by the City of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County, with the US Navel Academy participating as a special guest. The ceremony will begin at promptly at 1:15 p.m.
The next day, on Saturday, December 10, volunteers from Fort Meade and Anne Arundel County will place 600 wreaths in the Annapolis National Cemetery, located at 800 West Street.
