At Nation Metro Station. Today we were going to spend the entire day at Disneyland.
All metros have similar route maps which is very clear. We took the red line from Nation to Marne-la-Vallee-Chessy (Parc Disneyland)
At the gates of Disneyland.
After the gates we have to choose whether we want to enter Disneyland Park or Walt Disney Studios.
We had 5 tickets which could be used at either the Disney Studios or the Park but we felt that the Disneyland Park was much better.
The large pink building is the entrance to the Park.
A fountain outside the entrances.
Each tile on the ground has the names of people that contributed to Disney.
Walking over people's names.
James, Christina and Alexander. The tiles were in the right order.
The thousands of contributors to Disney.
Going into the Disneyland Park.
There are different themes in the Park. We were in Mainstreet U.S.A, a small town typical of the U.S.A in the 20th Century. The settings were beautiful, everything just fits in with the surroundings.
Alex and I in an old car, similar to the one Mr. Walt Disney used in his days.
Outside a shop window.
Walking down the street.
All the shops and restaurants were decorated in a traditional way.
Alex in a Mickey Mouse hat.
The lamposts, dustbins and signboards all match the theme.

The entrance to Fantasyland
We decided to get on a few rides in Mainstreet U.S.A before going into Fantasyland.
Even the hot dog stalls are made in the 20th century American style in this part of the resort.
People crowding around Goofy, trying to get his Autograph.
Many disney characters can be seen strolling around the Park.

Inside Sleeping Beauty's Castle.
The whole place had a medieval and bit of spooky look about it.
As you walk past the guards you can hear them snoring. Speakers are put inside the armour.
The upper level of the castle.
A view from the castle tower.
Fantasyland was full of the castles that belonged to the Disney Princes and Princesses and little cottages that belonged to a few other characters.

All the cottages were made typical of medieval England.

Inside Snow White's Castle was a ride that took you all around the castle showing you scenes from Snow White's life.

Enjoying the ride.
The train took us around the little hill.
The trees and greenery provided a pleasant surrounding.
We could see the river boat ride all through our ride.
The train rail.
And that was the end of the ride.
After getting off the train.
We were next heading towards the river boat ride.
Getting on the ride. The little Circus Train in the distance.
The ride was called "Le Pays des Contes de Fees" (The Countries from Fairytales).
On the ride.
On our boat.

This was a miniature of the actual ride. Landmarks of all the countires were presented in a comical manner but clearly getting the theme across.
Now we were heading toward the main ride.
The entrance to the ride.
Another train passes in front of the Entrance, it goes all around the resort. We were going onboard the train after 'It's a Small World'.
Inside, going under the Tower Bridge of London. All the countries of the world were represented in either little moving dolls or models of landmarks.
Throughout the ride the song "It's a Small World After All" was played.
We had to move to Discoveryland to catch the train.
The Disneyland Railroad train was an original Steam Engine that drove all around the resort.
In Discoveryland. There are 3 stations from where you can board the train, , Discoveryland, Frontierland and Mainstreet U.S.A.
The Train approaching.
There were two trains that came to the station every 20 minutes which was quite a long time to wait.
Also, everyone does'nt get off the train at our station, they might have boarded the trains somewhere else and might want to get off at the same place.
So we had to wait for the first train to pass before we could get place on the train.
A view from the train.
The train driver.
The train moving.
On the way the train stops at all the stations, we were going to get down back from where we got on, Discoveryland.

On the move again.
Stopping at the station at Mainstreet U.S.A.
We later got down at Discoveryland.
Back at Discoveryland. We next wanted to get on the Space Mountain ride.
Getting into Space Mountain. We had to wait about 45 minutes in the queue. It was a waste of time but we didn't know we could reserve tickets and get in through the fast pass entrance.
So after waiting in the long queue, we finally got to our seats.
It was a fast ride that went in all directions but it was fun!
Alex was eagerly waiting for the Buzz Lightyear Lazer Blast (taken from Toy Story). Here we got into little moving cars and had to shoot at the evil Zurg.
Buzz's face gave such real expressions while talking but he was just a robot.
After the ride, we could see our photographs on the ride. These could be bought for 5 or 6 Euros.

We crossed the bridge and went to a mountain on the other side.
This ride was called 'Indiana Jones and the Temple of Danger'.
After that we went to Frontierland.
The Park was about to close, it was 7pm.
We saw an original Steam Boat, the Thunder Mesa Riverboat which went all around Frontierland which was basically an Island.
There are two boats that cruise on the river, the other was on the other side of the island.
Big Thunder Mountain. We were looking forward to getting on to this ride but it had already closed.
On the ride, you would be taken all around the mountain exploring the goldmines in a creaky looking train, that was the fun of it!
Thunder Mountain.
Walking down the streets of Frontierland.
The Mining Company Train Engine.
The entrance to the ride which was closed at the time.
We were going to head back now.
Back in front of Fantasyland.
Everything was closing down, only the restaurants in the Disney Village, outside the park were open.
A traditional Restaurant in Mainstreet U.S.A.
We came back to Mainstreet to get to the Exit.
It was closing time, the restaurant was empty.
Sadly, many of the best scenes of Disneyland could not be photographed due to lowlight and due to huge rush. Visit to Paris will not be complete without spending at least one day at the Disneyland, the place for people of all ages
Back in Mainstreet U.S.A.
Outside a toystore window.
Leaving the Park.
We decided to get a bite at the Disney Village but it was packed, so we went back to our hotel after strolling around a bit.
