Cut a block of boxwood to slightly larger than required. Then cut round the outline on the band saw
Then simply start to rough out the finished shape. more next week.
There isn't much I can say about technique, as everyone develops their own. just keep fiddling with it and comparing it to the original until it is right. (or as right as you can get it.)
