This is Grays 2, in the basement, (a river runs through it)
A collection of Patchisi pieces, which most of these are.
These bone pieces are similar to the Roman pieces in Archer St Clairs book. http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/chessspy/Cavemen/photo#5083793512929895490 See here in the cavemen album.
This shop had the most impressive array of objects, see next (X) pictures
Patchisi
Compare these with the objects in the previous picture
And these
A Patchisi game and typical cloth board, note the 'long dice' typical for this and other games.
These objects , I'm assured are over 1000 years old . I think they are, but I think they are more likely to be crop tokens than chess pieces. (see cavemen album)
A double headed object. I suppose in the wrong setting this could be taken for a chesspiece, (a double headded knight perhaps.)
Crop tokens, games pieces? Hnefatafl?
Glass, very rare I'm told.
An interesting carving, I put it in just because Iliked it. This ends the objects in Sultani antiques
I think this comment by Keats may be incorrect, Iwould like to hear M.M.'s opinion.
