Perhaps the busiest platz in town, with a very cool fountain/centerpiece. Most squares have something like this, whether in Italy, Germany, France or wherever, but this one had cooler figures than most.
Here's an example of perhaps the least interesting of the figures, yet the only one I have a shot of.
Just a shot of some cool rooftops as I was looking down a street.
Art being sold by the statue/obelisk/fountain thing.
Elo at the harbor's edge.
me eating pork at the beer garden.
A street shot.
Many houses and other structures in downtown have tromp d'oeil murals. Elo took this shot as she liked how the smaller house on the side contrasted with the larger muraled one.
A giant, gnome made of flowers on a private garden island called Mainau that we visited.
Me and a giant peacock made of flowers. Which is fancier? Everyone has to answer that tough question on their own.
The best of the self-framed shots of us in the garden, although the worst in terms of capturing the flowers behind us.
Eloise and a cool climbing tree. Oh to be a kid again.
One of the structures outlying the castle that used to house a German king or prince or some other aristocratic boob, and at which people still live, which is insane tome as this place is packed with tourists.
The best part of the time on Mainau was the butterfly house. Here's a butterfly now...
... and a flower...
... and a bird...
... and some more flowers...
... and another butterfly.
Ma and some cacti, vying for the prickliest organism on Mainau.
A shot of Konstanz as we made our way back on a boat from Mainau.
Olympia, the giant and somewhat erotic harbor statue.
