This is the reason they broke the power cord, wiggling it and trying to get power to charge the battery.
This is the actual cord the guy gave me to “repair” It was burned out, Imagine that!.
Pull The 2 Anchor Screws from th eback of the computer under the hinges (one on the left, One on the right.
Using The Keyboard, Jimmy the corner on the right side up and with the keyboard laid flat, pull the button strip up.
Pull the 4 screws holding the keyboard out and keep them for reassembly.
Lift the keyboard up at an angle and gently pull so the tabs on the bottom come out of their slots.
Pull the ribbon cable out of the snap down connector to remove the keyboard.
Pull the aluminum shroud screw from the motherboard.
Lift the shroud from the top of the motherboard.
Pull the 2 screws holding the hinge on the right side.
Pull the 2 screws Holding the left side.
Pull the video cable connector gently out.
Organizing the screws for the screen like this makes it easier to reassemble them in the proper place.
Lift the hinges straight up and set the screen down to the side.
Pull the 2 screws so you can slide the hard disk out.
Slide the hard disk out.

Pull the memory cover
Lift the memory cover.
After Grounding yourself, Pull the memory stick (Pop the two white tabs out and lift the stick gently out.
Once the stick is tilted forward, you may lift it out completely.
Pull all the screws careful to keep them in some order for reassembly.
This is the lock screw for the DVD Drive, pull it then the drive.
Pull the dvd drive out.
Pull the modem cable out the left side of the modem chip.
As you can see the cable is now out.
Continue pulling the screws.
Don't forget the screw under the dvd Drive, It's hidden while the drive is installed.
See the screws organized on the left, makes it easier to replace them in the correct holes.
Close up.
Flip the laptop, continue pulling the screws from the case.
Gently pull the cord for the mouse.
you should be able to now lift the case, if not, you missed a screw.
Pulling the cooling fan connector.
Pull the 4 screws holding the cpu cooler.
Pull the video Card screws.
Lift the video card.
Unscrew the vga standoffs.
Pull the hard drive tray holder.
Pull the battery guide.
Lift the battery guide off.
Pull the dvd drive caddy.
Pull the speaker wires off the connector.
Motherboard should be free now.
This laptop actually had no connector left, this is what was here, just a hole.
This is the bottom of the power connector, I added a little flux and start the desoldering.
Desolder wick will suck all the solder out of the holes. Be careful not to desolder anything you don't mean to...
Put the new connector on and solder the 9 contacts in good. (you can clean up with isopropyl alcohol later)

Now the New connector is in and ready to use. Run the slideshow in reverse to put the computer back together again.
