John Dickenson's Fly In- Grafton 06
The Grafton Jacaranda festival celebrated for the first time ever, John Dickenson's invention, the weight shift Hang Glider. It was in 1963 that Rod Fuller first successfully flew the first weight shift hang glider towed behind Pat Crow on the Grafton river. Graham Henderson, Chris Fogg, (HGFA general manager), Grafton counsel and many others put together a great weekend to celebrate this mark in History. Bill Moyes towed a 1966 model Hang Glider piloted by Mick Mac ender into the air as a reenactment of the event in 1963. Day two consisted of a fly in at the South Grafton air strip. A great time was had by all.
