Fox and Goshawk, Potters Lake, Feb. 7, 2009
This morning we watched a red fox cross the lake in front of the house as a goshawk flew out for a little encounter. The pictures are a little fuzzy since Bob took them through the double-paned living room window. But, this seemed best since it was -9°F ( -23°C) and he was barefooted. Nevertheless, it's easy to follow the story. After the encounter, the hawk landed in a tree and simply watched the fox meander down the shore.
