Welcome to Art Class at the VMWBO! Here, we take 4 colors of paint...
...and create 12 new colors!
Victims of Human Trafficking, some whom have never so much as held a paintbrush, shyly begin using these materials donated by supporters of VietACT in the U.S.
My first time teaching art
Creativity in Motion
Painted by a woman in her 40s. This was her first time painting.
This man, age 27, painted this exact replica of the sample I presented. I am embarrassed to say that mine sample was quite elementary.
Creativity abounds
Painted by a man with only one hand. He learned how to use his non-dominant hand.
Oceans alive
Talking fish
His happy place
She learned how to mix colors.
Seaweed
Many survivors drop out around elementary/secondary school to help make money for their families to survive. Therefore, many of these artists haven't developed fine motor skills to control writing instruments, much less a paintbrush. I was extremely proud of this person.
Beautiful
Ocean life with and attitude
Waves
This artist is blind in one eye.
Watery abyss
"I'm a star."
We are family
