Hi, I'm Magic. I was struck by a car.
A wonderful rescue person picked me up and took me to a vet.
I broke my leg in four places and my pelvis in four places.
The vet gave me some pain meds so I wouldn't hurt so much.
They had to amputate my right rear leg because it was too broken to fix.
Thank you for helping...
...even if I don't feel very good right now.
I'm feeling a little better now.

I had to have two operations.
One for my leg, and one to fix my pelvis.
My bottom got all scraped up on the road. It hurts!

Aunt Karin stopped by to say goodbye to me because I'm getting adopted.
But I had important things to do, playing with my toys.
But I did bring her a toy so she could play WITH me!
Today I got adopted. This is my new mom.
She's a vet and is VERY excited to meet me.
She says, "What do you think, Jack?"
I say, "I want to go see my BIG brother again!"
