An old photo looking South-East from The Street. The house appears to be the one now known as 'Grace Dieu' in Tanns Lane
The Letchmere franked 17th June 1908. The Black Horse pub is on the right. From Phil Chapman's collection.
The Letchmere estimated about 1920. Phil Chapman has another card of South Lopham confirming that the man on the horse is Jack Shaw, a 'carrier' . From Phil Chapman's collection.

April 2006 again: Even though this was in early spring this shows how much silt (and how little water!) was in the pond.
April 2006 again: Showing the trickle of water from the inlet near Black Horse Cottage.
April 2006: Showing the mass of trees growing in the pond - these were removed in May 2006 as the first phase of restoration.
