A replicate of the 2cm tall solid gold dragon excavated in Xi'an. Now remade at 100x.
Unfortunately, it was not a clear day... that's the sun.

This was the building in the Tang Paradise.
Once we arrived at the plaza of this building, a show with people on stilts began! We found that the Tang Paradise is like a theme park- there are free shows that happen throughout the day at different locations.
These actors were incredibly physically talented as well as humorous!

We saw a lion dance going on in the plaza, but we were on the 4th floor of the building!

This is a sculpture based on “Journey to the West,” the great epic of Chinese literature (the “Odyesy” of China). The character in front is the “hero,” Monkey.

There are two people in the lion. In this picture, the yellow lion is jumping the largest gap between the tiny platforms. The hind legs of the dragon is holding the the front legs as they both jump across. Amazing!
