The drive down to Alamosa
I stopped a lot for moments like this....
...and this...
...and this....
....and more of this...
Finally, into the arms of my wonderful wife. Where I found her sipping a margarita.
Me.
Us.
On Saturday, we went to an alligator farm...in Colorado.
Jessica holds one of the alligators.
Gators start out like this.
Lots o' lil gators
A nasty snake, which I normally would have been happy to drive over in my car.
Alligator waits.
Turtle approaches
Gator Strikes!! but misses
This little dude is going to be lunch soon.
The gator farm has over 400 alligators. They live in 87 degree hot springs and eat dead fish from a local fish farm. They were brought to Colorado to serve as garbage disposals.
My lovely wife in front of some sunning gators. It is not uncommon to see gators sunning themselves on the snow. The water stays at a comfy 87 degrees year round.
You can get pretty close to them, and there is little in between them and you.
Warning, this place is junkie.
Rubbish everywhere.
One of the gators has been in several movies including Happy Gilmore.
Sunning themselves
Waiting for fish.
A calf (this place is a farrago of petting zoo meets swamp meets fish farm meets natural disaster area)
Next, we went to the Sand Dunes, the highest dunes in North America
Did not climb them though
did not even want to climb them
The following are a bunch of pictures of Jessica
Dunes.
Very Nice!!!
