The southern slope of the western Bowland Fells. Parlick Pike left end, Totridge Fell right end. These fells protect the Hodder valley from the worst of the prevailing weather.
The magnificent fireplace at Stakes Farm. The original has a smaller version inserted to reduce its size. The tenant, Peter Clegg, is very proud of this. It was bricked up when he took over!

The "Hark to Bounty" Inn at Slaidburn. (Bounty was a hound). The steps lead to the room which was used as the courtroom for the Forest Court of the Forest of Bowland for hundreds of years.
