CLARK'S BREWERY Andrew Priestley came as a punter to the 2007 Merrie City Beer Festival and bought a draw ticket to be Brewer for a Day at Clark's Brewery in Wakefield, actually under the watchful eye of Head Brewer Paul Senior.
CLARK'S BREWERY As you can see this brew is intended to turn out as Classic Blonde. It looks as if Andrew has pitched in the yeast and is using a paddle to distribute it through the wort.
CLARK'S BREWERY Everybody soon realises that the most gruelling job in small breweries is emptying out the spent brewing grains from the mash tun. If the brewer can find a sucker to do it for him, he will! Andrew, learning quickly from the head brewer has decided to delegate the job to his mate (well, he was, up until this) David Pickersgill. That's quite a healthy glow, David!
CLARK'S BREWERY This is a bonus photo of a smily David Pickersgill, taken on one of his beerhunting trips to Belgium.
