Guiyang

Guiyang ia located in south west China and is considered a small city at nearly 4 million people. Every evening when we returned the hotel had Mickey & Minnie Mouse and a Panda to greet us. They also had classic, non-religious, Christmas songs playing in the lobby and elevators. Also, note he sign for the Super WalMart. The store is actually located underground.

Changjao School & Tunpu

Changjiao Primary School is located about an 90 minutes from Guiyang in south west China and is in one of the poorest areas of the country. The school is supported by People to People. Tunpu is an ancient city, founded in the 1400s.

Guiyang School Visits

This album includes photos mostly from a high school and an elementary schools, with a couple of shots (Great Wall computer) from a local college. The students spoke excellent English and were very happy to see and talk with us.

Beijing

The Christmas tree is in the lobby of the Swissotel in Beijing. This also includes some pictures of Beijing nightlife, as well as the famous Peking Roasted Duck Restaurant which opened in the 1800s. The duck was great and the fried scorpions were crunchy, with a nutty flavor!
