This is Terri & Layne new sprawling Ranch Homes' Front Yard when I began the project (To the North)
Eye Yei Yei......... There's a lot of work to do here.
A look at the "Dustbowl" across the Street.
North Knee wall completed with lioghting and stucco.
RV Gates 12' on the north entrance. There's another at the South end of property.
Only 2 days and R.V. Gates are completed.
Time to install footers for Knee Walls. Turndown every 12 feet. Masons' are sloppy but it always turns out nice.
Knee Walls will be installed on North & South Property Lines to "Frame this 210' Street Frontage. Also included will be 6 pillars capped with flag and subtle Lighting.
South Knee Wall completed with Stucco and Lighting
Time to stock in 40 Tons of "Table Mesa Brown 1/4 minus. Must do before curbong and plants to allow access for the dumptruck.
Southwest View......... Nice to have your neighbors a "Home Run" away.
Irrigation is in - Time for Plant days
Plants are here. Only perfect holes will be acceptable. Take your time and DO NOT Break any Rootballs.
Irrigation for 2 Grass Stations.
She likes it "Palmy"
Lots of water on these freshly planted Trees and Palms in necessary in this heat. (June 08)
It looks worse before better when planting and irrigation are in progress. There are trenches with coded poly tube around the entire perimeter of property and House frame. This will allow us to water Trees differently than Plants. (Deep Root method)
Coming along- production with my crew is less than impressive in this heat BUT I have compassion and accept the slow days.
Plant day. This day took 8 previous work days to prepare for. We moved more dirt and created mounds and backfill than I have EVER.
It sems that their is a day when the entire project takes shape. This would be the day Grass is installed. Midiron Turf is used here. It is a Thick Darker Green than Straight Bermuda. Fluffy for barfoot kids.
We placed this 1" apache Brown in Courtyar and Front Yesterday. It was 40 Tons.
I insist on NO stones in my grass areas. It's all about Raking and Raking and Raking.
More Raking before the Grass Carpet in Layed.
Look at the contrast.
South view from frony Paver sidewalk complete with Treeline to Create privacy and curb appeal. 5 Cinese Evergreen Elms
This plant "Pygmy Palm" Will get4 gallons water each day. All plants are receiving a "Precalculated" amount of water depending to their resistance to drought conditions.
Curbing is in to define different planters and Grass. The circular Drive is taking shape and looking good.
Coming together. Wow - we are using a BUNCH of Crushed Granite.
When I had this 1/4" minus delivered, I tried to save on labor and my Dumptruck Guy Got Caddywampus on the circular Drive and ran over some fresh Curbing. No biggie. I still tipped him for the effort.
My curbing crew fixed it immediately.
Looks a bit different now. (Refer to Pic 1)
North end. Three Ash Trees and some flowering Lantana. I used Dwarf Oleander to mark Pillars and open front corners.
The Drive and pillars make this a "Stately" presentation
Can you say "WOW"
Talk about being Proud
