I need to preface these photos. Sandy Hill has an ENORMOUS neighborhood party for Independence Day. There are no words to describe it other than a huge "fest." Anyway, a bicycle parade for the kids kicks off the evening festivities around 7p. The boys were to decorate their bikes for the parade. This is the result of their hard work.
There were so many streamers on their bikes they couldn't pedal!!! The winds shifted and the streamers got caught in the chain.
After the bike parade, people went back to their homes, neighbor's homes, etc. to eat and drink until the 30 minute firework show in the empty lot on Sandy Hill Lane. After those fireworks, we headed to a friends field just behind the subdivision where they had a bonfire and another 30 minutes of fireworks.
It was 1:00a by the time they finally got in bed...
One of Steph's jobs dated July 07.
Nothing beats a Whiting parade...
Hi Mary!!!
There was a joke here, but I forgot about this picture. I was going to superimpose some Banik faces on this float for the 2008 family calendar but forgot.
...and then the horse dropped a deuce right in front of us before moving on.

Happy 60th Uncle Paul.
Kids were tuckered out on the way home from Whiting.
Time for some "Sandy Hill Court" fireworks!!!
Uh, I can only assume this must be a "firework" picture.
Preston's sunflower.
"Lake Banik." We learned the hard way that not everything that should be disclosed on the disclosure sheet is... Every time it rains hard for more than 20 minutes we get a lake. I have sinced dug 10 4' deep post holes to alleviate the problem. Next spring I will trench, lay pipe, then rock to permanently solve the problem.
The lake even attracts ducks!!!!!!!!
Glowstick rock.
Words cannot describe why I took this picture.
