These were some shoes at the Bata Shoe Museum - they were essentially an artwork (rather than functional shoes): "Pearl pins were chosen as materials to convey inner pain and exterior beautyr".
This is called 'Around the World' and was part of an international design competition - it was to represent different cultures. I thought it looked really interesting.
