Bob Bastian of Fruitvale was selected 2010 Citizen of the Year. Presentation was at Haines Park, Fruitvale and the reception, hosted by Fruitvale Christian Academy, was in the curling rink.

Streetfest was held on the Saturday night and included a talent show and a musicians jam session.

The rain was coming down so hard we could believe the firemen could set off another great display. The number of vehicles gathered around the park was a testament to the popularity of this May Days event.
